Andrea Scaringella was born in Milan, Italy in 1974. He studied at ITSOS Sperimental Arts Institute in Milan, Italy, where he received a Diploma in Photography. He has five years experience as a Photographic Technician working in a professional Processing and Printing Black and White Lab, liasing with photographer such as Gabriele Basilico,Gianni Berengo Gardin, Romano Cagnoni, Marco Anelli.

Between 2000-2001 he exhibited work in an Art Collective held in a Temporary Autonomous Space in Milan and has had a number of shows in Italy and UK. In April 2001 he moved to London in order to pursue a photographer career.

In March 2003 he joined a Kurdish Delegation based in London heading to Kurdistan, Southeastern Turkey. There he developed a photographic project showing the conditions in which Kurdish people lives and the effects of child labour, through documenting the daily life of a 8 years old Shoe-shiner. In 2004/2005 he started several collaboration with London and Italian based magazines and newspaper. He is interested in migration and identity and has developed a number of projects on immigration in Milan, Italy.
Pictures on Kurdish Issues were recently (2005) displayed on an Italian website called www.peacereporter.net and in an Exhibition held at Hackney Museum for a Kurdish Heritage project. He works part time as a Photographic Technician and Assistant at Westminster College (WAES) while freelancing and developing personal photographic projects.
