Born in Clarendon, Jamaica in 1969, Colin Graham studied graphic design and graphic analysis at Kingston University and Croydon College of Art, England, graduating with an H.N.D and BA (Hons) in 1996. His current touring exhibition, Union Blacks: An exhibition of British Black personalities was first shown in March 1999 at the Black Cultural Archives, Brixton. Subsequent exhibitions have taken place at Centerprise, Hackney, The Fairfields Hall, Croydon and Jamaica Blue, London. The flag has also shown at Borders (UK) and supported various events including Black History Month 2000. There is not a singular aim behind Union Blacks but many. It looks to raise awareness, ask questions of identity and celebrate diversity. For more information see: www.axisartists.org.uk, or contact Colin Graham at: designhouse@btinternet.com. |
