Guilhem Alandry was born in Paris in 1975. At the age of six he moved with his parents to Madagascar. At ten he was in Marseille, France and at twelve he lived in Tahiti. In 1990 when he finally returned to France to attend high school he was confronted with integration problems. In 1997 he came to England to study photography at the Kent Institute of Art and Design. As an adult he became very interested in identity and notions of home and has been exploring these themes in his work. Recent projects include the collaboration with Ana Kari on the development of document.ography, a website which centralises work from photojournalists, which they hope to present at VISA POUR L'IMAGE, in September, the photojournalist festival in Perpignan, France.
