A-Y

She describes her current practice as 'lo- or no-tech'. Playing with dirt, disparate matter lost and found, and revisiting 'past' works, she explores notions of place, authenticity/duplicity, tactics of naming and movements of translation. By way of introduction, she offers the following 'inventionory', an 'indefinitive A-Y' or 'antemortem', of her work:

LEAN TO

chalk marks the moving/movements of a body the artist at work,
faking her death a bowlful of badges, some postcards,
and a request: “Tell Me Where You Go With My He/art...”
a bright orange box warns 'BEWARE OF THE DOG'
a wall of tiny paper scrolls a line-up of dilapidated doors
and 'Someone Special', a poster/pose
bulbs blink about odd pairs of shoes a hundred lights
a carpet/sea of punctured bills and six inch spikes
